Founded in Dhaka, 2010
Fifteen years in education. A new mission for the next fifteen.
We started by putting schools online. We are now working on something considerably larger.
Who we are
ShikkhaNet Technologies
ShikkhaNet Technologies is a Bangladeshi software company founded in 2010, serving the education sector through Biddaloy, our school management system running in schools, colleges and madrasahs nationwide, and more recently serving local government through e-governance platforms.
We build for Bangladesh from Bangladeshi requirements: the national curriculum, the madrasah system, board reporting, and the way a district council actually approves a project. That is not a marketing position. It is the reason our software fits.
Our mission
Two missions, one direction
One network for education
The name says it. Shikkha is education; Net is network. Our long-term goal is a single connected system linking students, guardians, teachers, institutions, local councils, boards and the ministry, so that information moves where it is needed instead of stopping at an institutional boundary.
A nation upgraded by AI
We believe artificial intelligence is the first technology capable of improving the substance of education at national scale, not merely its paperwork, and that the same holds for governance and the industries around it. Our focus has shifted decisively toward building that future, with education as the foundation.
How we got here
Fifteen years, three chapters
2010
ShikkhaNet begins building school management software for Bangladeshi institutions. Biddaloy goes into production with its first schools.
2010–2025
Biddaloy grows into three independent editions for general education, madrasah and English medium institutions, processing results and report cards for tens of thousands of students. The company expands into local government with the Parishad project and document management platform.
2026 onward
Focus turns to artificial intelligence. AI-Examiner and the Quiz Management System enter pilot release: the first working steps toward an intelligent, connected education system.
How we work
Specification before code
We write the full specification before we write the software. For a national examination system or a district records platform, an architecture decision made carelessly in month one costs years. This is slower at the start and considerably faster afterwards.
Honest about maturity
We label what is in production, what is in pilot and what is in development, and we do not blur the three. When a system holds a student's results or a council's official record, overstating readiness is a serious thing to do.
Built to be maintained
Fifteen years of living with our own software has taught us that audit trails, data migration and tenant isolation are what decide whether a platform is still usable in year eight.
